Rained off

The forecast for the Sunday was wet all day and seemed to be accurate with steady rain falling from early morning. A decision on staging the match was delayed as long as possible in the hope that it would clear up. At 12:30pm after discussion with the opposing skipper the prospects had not improved and so it was agreed to cancel.

Needless to say at 2:00pm precisely the rain eventually stopped and the sun came out. The heavy showers forecast for the afternoon did not materialise either. Very frustrating!!
